Fred's Burger: A Burger Haven in Los Angeles

I use to frequently eat here back when I was attending John Muir across the street many years ago. I have passed by several times and thought I need to stop by and see if the food is still great, especially their fries like back in the days. I ordered the club sandwich with fries. The sandwich was great and the fries to my surprise taste just as great as they did when I was in junior high. It was also fulfilling. I am definitely coming back to eat here.

Fred’s Burgers will always hold a special place in my heart. Growing up in LA, my parents would take us here every Friday, and it quickly became a family tradition. Now, 15 years later, even though I’ve moved out of state, I always make sure to stop by whenever I’m back in town. The taste has never changed—it’s just as amazing and comforting as it was when I was a kid. Truly one of those timeless spots that feels like home with every bite.

Fred's is the epitome of what your local (as well as hood) burger spot should be. It's definitely a spot that the locals frequent and keep in business. Everyone that comes here knows exactly what they want. The food here is great. I heard so many people here ordering the Chicken Teriyaki dinner plate. I was dead set on getting a burger though, since this is a burger spot. Who am I kidding though? My big old butt had to order the aforementioned dinner plate as well. And I went with the Double Cheeseburger combo for my burger selection. The burger was cooked to perfection, and so flavorful. The fries were great also. Right in between skinny fries and steak fries. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. A perfect fry indeed. The dinner plate was also amazing. The chicken and teriyaki sauce tasted great. And the cabbage mixed in there was a nice touch. It also came with a toasted dinner roll and small salad. I highly recommend this spot. The food and the service is on point. The inside is kinda whatever, since it's plain and not the cleanest it could be. Not enough to deter me though. And their 1000 Island dressing is homemade, and absolutely awesome. Give this spot a try!

At first glance it dosent look like much. A small restaurant on a small street. You'd never know this place has stood strong for over 20 years. Once inside the place is a little dated, but you soon realize they serve just about anything, and everything is amazing, the breakfast are big and delicious, the burgers and fries are my favorite some of the best I've ever had, hands down the best thousand island. The teriyaki plates are very good as well just as the burritos are, everything is great give them a try.

I called my order in. Asked how long it would be. She said 15 minutes. The order was ready when I arrived. These chilaquiles were delicious.

Favorite local hamburger stand .. 4 Family Burger Specials only $30‼

Firstly, great food for an inconspicuous location. I like that they had a variety of food. We stayed inside to eat. We got 2 avocado bacon burger specials and the club sandwich special for $43. I enjoyed my burger, fries, and horchata. My mom was loving her club sandwich. They don't skimp out on the bacon or avocado. We also got some aguas frescas (horchata and tamarindo) and a soda which were all great. I would definitely come back for a quick bite. The only downside is the atmosphere. The building and area isn't the most appealing, but I just came for the food so it didn't bother me.
